Is Angelina Jolie Bi ?

Many Angelina Jolie fans wonder: "Is Angelina Jolie bi?"

Well, the answer is that Angelina Jolie not only portrays lesbian and bisexual roles (Gia in 1998, Foxfire in 1996, Girl, Interrupted in 1999, Tomb Raider in 2001 and Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life on 2003), but she is open about the fact that she is bisexual and has had affairs with both men and women.

In detail, after breaking up with her first husband, actor Jonny Lee Miller, Jolie began dating model Jenny Shimizu, whom she met on the set of their film Foxfire. In fact, the relationship was so serious that Jolie told Girlfriends magazine in 1997: "I would probably have married Jenny Shimizu if I hadn't married my husband. I fell in love with her the first second I saw her." Shimizu claimed in 2005 that her relationship with Jolie had lasted many years and continued even while Jolie was romantically involved with other people...

In an interview with Elle magazine, Angelina Jolie revealed: "Honestly, I like everything. Boyish girls, girlish boys, the heavy and the skinny. Which is a problem when I'm walking down the street."

When Barbara Walters asked Angelina in 2003 if she was bisexual, Jolie responded: "Of course. If I fell in love with a woman tomorrow, would I feel that it's okay to want to kiss and touch her? If I fell in love with her? Absolutely! Yes!"

Jane magazine readers voted Angelina Jolie as the sexiest female actor. To which Jolie responded: "They're right to think that about me, because I'm the person most likely to sleep with my female fans. I genuinely love other women. And I think they know that."

Jolie joked about Lara Croft: "Can you imagine Lara Croft as a lesbian?...At the end of the day, I really like women. I'd love it if the girls in the cinema watching Lara Croft find me just as hot as their boyfriends do."

Just in case you are curious about the reason why Angelina Jolie is so comfortable about sharing her bisexuality with the rest of the world, Angelina explains: "When I was 20, I fell in love with somebody who happened to be a woman".

"I was open about it (bisexuality) because I wanted people to know that I had been with a woman. I spoke about it because I'd discovered something wonderful and I thought people should know my experience was very real, very normal," Jolie continued.

"I love women and men equally and I see people and love as love, so I think it makes sense that a woman would know I'd appreciate and love her as much as I would a man"
Jolie was quoted as saying.
