Dr. Luke Files Counter Suit Against Kesha For Extortion

Dr. Luke is firing back at Kesha, calling her a liar for claiming that he sexually assaulted and physically abused her, with the producer's legal team now declaring that Kesha made up the allegations in order to escape her contract with him.

Just in case you have missed, Kesha, 27, makes serious statements against Dr. Luke in a new bombshell lawsuit, alleging that he physically and emotionally abused her for years during their professional collaboration and continuously drugged her before making unwanted sexual advances.

Dr. Luke, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald, reveals that Kesha is lying and that her allegations have been orchestrated by her mother Pebe Sebert and a new management team as part of an effort to get the singer out of her contractual obligations.

In addition, Dr. Luke blames Kesha's camp for threatening to send bogus allegations about him to the person behind a "Free Kesha" website unless he met their demands; his legal team insists that "extortion (was) the ultimate goal of this defamatory campaign."

Dr. Luke's attorney Christine Lepera said in a statement:

"As set forth in the complaint that we have filed on behalf of Dr. Luke, Kesha and her mother are engaged in a campaign of publishing outrageous and untrue statements about Dr. Luke to third parties, including scurrilous and false statements of purported physical and mental abuse of Kesha. These are allegations that Kesha and Pebe have themselves admitted are false. The complaint explains that Kesha and her mother Pebe have wielded these defamatory statements in an attempt to extort Gottwald into releasing Kesha from her exclusive recording agreement with Dr. Luke. We understand that Kesha has filed a lawsuit of her own against Dr. Luke, though we have not yet seen it. Undoubtedly, Kesha's lawsuit is nothing more than a continuation of her bad and offensive acts. We are confident that Dr. Luke will prevail in all matters, and that our client will be awarded substantial damages for this malicious conduct."
