Katy Perry Wears A Red Veiled Maison Margiela Dress At 2017 Met Gala

Katy Perry made an epic entrance on the carpet at the 2017 Met Gala, which took place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday in NYC.

Perry, 32, was one of the co-chairs of the special event along with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, musician/producer Pharrell Williams, NFL quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen.

The pop icon rocked a Maison Margiela "Artisanal" look created by fashion designer John Galliano.

Perry showed off a red embroidered wool coat layered over a red tulle and silk chiffon dress with embroidered satin ribbon embellishment.

Katy also wore a red silk tulle veil, headpiece in high polished chrome and red Tabi boots. If you notice carefully, you will see it reads "WITNESS" on her veil.

This year's gala theme was "Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-Between", paying tribute to the Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo, whi created the label Comme des Garcons and is famous for introducing new trends in the fashion industry.
